GBD 5.4 high

While Ror simplifies the development process, the generated code may require further customization and optimization for production-ready applications. The platform's reliance on AI also raises questions about the quality and maintainability of the generated code in the long run.

While everyone is using AI to code websites, there's a huge opportunity in the mobile app space. People are making crazy amounts of money by building custom mobile apps with the help of AI. But most people don't realize just how fast you can do this. In fact, it has never been easier to take your idea, build it into a custom mobile app, and get it on the app store. And we're going to use AI to do all of it for us. All right. So, the first thing we need to do is choose which AI builder are we going to use to build our mobile apps. And I'm definitely going with Ror. And the reason is simple. Everything inside of RO is built in Swift, right? So they have this feature called Ror Max which builds everything in Swift. This is the native programming language on the entire Apple ecosystem. So I would say like Ror Max is by far the easiest way to build mobile apps and it's not even close. You can build any type of app, financial tracker, habit tracker with multiple widgets, with permissions, live activities for Apple Watch, for iPhone, for iPad and all of that from a single platform. So yeah, RORO is something I've been using to build mobile apps since the last year. I even talked to the founder and I even asked them to sponsor this video which they agreed. So go to roor.com or just click the link below the video. Now make sure to enable rog max. This is huge because this allows you to build in swift. Oh and by the way you can try rog max for free. Everyone gets free five uses of rog max. So you can whatever idea you have you can just try it. try building it and see like, wow, building with fork is actually easy and then upgrade to a paid plan. So, boom. I'm going to paste in my first prompt and I'm going to start it. So, this is basically a 3D app that allows you to pin where you traveled, right? So, let me scroll up to show you my prompt. Build a native iOS travel memory app called around. The main screen is a interactive 3D globe that the user can rotate by dragging and pinch to zoom in and out. So, this isn't some simple calorie tracking app. This is actually a 3D app that's going to ask for permissions for locations and going to have a photo upload and a bunch of other features and we're going to try to oneshot that with Ror Max. Now, as you can see, this is the layout. On the left, we have the AI assistant, the agent, and on the right, we have a preview with a full emulator running inside the browser. So, I didn't have to install anything. RO has figured out how to do an iOS emulator in the browser. It's pretty insane if you ask me. Anyways, here at the bottom, you can see how ROM Max is working. It's already running and it already proposed the the plan for this. I'm just going to approve that. Boom. There it is. RO proposed 10 different steps. So, it broke down this app idea into 10 steps. And now it's going to get started on that. Now, actually, while the first app is running, I'm going to upgrade because I want to have selection over which model we're using because ROR also supports Opus 4.6, the best model from Entropic. So, if you upgrade even to the RO Pro plan, you can select the models. So, I'm going to do that right now. And in fact, I'm going to go for rog max because I want more usage. And if I click here, I should be able to select. Yes, there we go. I should be able to select any models. And in fact, you can even do GBD 5.4 high, which some people prefer over Opus. Actually, I prefer Opus. So, I'm going to select Opus 4.6. We can check the progress here. Okay, this one we have the architecture. So, let's approve it on the first app. Boom. Uh, I trust the model. So, we don't have to try hard out too much. And many people are building multiple apps because with RO it's so easy to build something, deploy it on the app store and see if it gets traction. So really we live in a completely new paradigm. Most people still haven't realized just how easy it is to build mobile apps. People kind of understand that okay AI can oneshot web apps but they have this irrational fear of mobile apps. That's because they haven't tried Ror Max. As you can see there's update available. RO is shipping updates like crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if they're using ROR to build RO. All right. So, it generated the assets. Let's look at this. This is the map going to be wrapped around the sphere. That's going to be interesting to see the 3D globe. I'm lowkey kind of addicted to building 3D apps. Okay, here we have the logo. And again, this generated the logo by itself, the icon. If you want to have more control over that, you can do that again by clicking on the name of the project and doing that here or uploading your own logo if you already have one. Let's see the steps. All right, here we're almost finished. 10 out of 11. And by the way, on the right side, you can switch from preview to code. So, if you actually want to see the code itself and go through it, you absolutely can. You can also see the analytics. I'm not sure we're going to have any analytics here. And look how nice this is. All of this is running in the web browsers. It's crazy. I didn't have to install anything. Ror has figured out all of this. How to run the emulator in the browser. How to switch from iPhone to iPad. Yeah. Oh, this is crazy. This is amazing. So obviously we're going to test it on our device in a bit. But uh once your app is deployed, you can check the amount of users here. Daily active users, weekly active users, monthly active users. So you can do nearly everything you need from within ROR. Not only like measure um the activity of your users, but like build the app, test the app, and see the full code in case you ever need it. Yeah, it's crazy. I think ROR is going into the direction where you can run your whole mobile app business from within ROR like seeing real-time user metrics. In the past, you had to do that yourself. You had to implement some telemetry, some tracking. You it definitely wasn't possible from your coding file, from your IDE or your coding agent. But yeah, I mean, it's clear that the founders have a lot of mobile app experience like they've built many successful apps. In fact, I had the founder on my podcast last year and it's very clear that RO is built by people who know what they're doing. Okay, so sometimes the simulator fails in which case just click this one button fix and ROR will fix it. Okay, there we go. Around the world around travel is starting up. Here we go. So, here we have the 3D globe and it's actually working nicely. I can rotate it including all the cities. That's nice. It's actually a globe. Yeah. Let's add a new stamp. Let's just drop a random pin in uh Australia. There we go. Confirm. We can add some photos. Uh add photos. Okay. Obviously in this emulator. Okay. Let's say that we have this photo from Australia. Whatever. Let's let's just assume this is Australia. Hopefully there's no like geoger pro here. Geogesser pros watching this. Okay. Okay. Then we can do some notes. I'm going to do Australia uh 2025. Let's select the date. Okay. Nice. Very clean date selector. Save. And you can see it updated in the top right. We have the country and we have the pin here. Let's check the journal. Nice. We have the journal. Yes. So, this app actually works. I mean, obviously I could play around with it and, you know, make the globe brighter and add a bunch of other features, but this is a very solid MVP as it is. Okay, so let's try running this on the phone. So, in the top right, you can see run on your device. Click that. It's going to download a ROR companion uh app, which lets us connect the phone to ROR in the web browser. Okay, open. Okay, so then in the RO companion app, you need to log in. If it doesn't work on the first try, keep trying. This is still pretty new part of ROR, so it's a bit buggy. But eventually, you will log in. Now, we need to sign in with the Apple account. So, let's do that. Okay. Next, we need to connect the device through USB. So, I'm connecting my iPhone here. Okay, there we go. Amazing. So, everything is set. I'm going to click open.com. Um, well, actually, I should probably Okay, I can play it here. Lockin is the name on my phone. So, let me actually start screen recording. So, I'm recording on my phone. I'm going to click play here. Okay. So, we have the around travel um app. Let's click on that. Until developer. Okay. Let's go to general. Then, um what VPN and device management? Let's find that. There it is towards the bottom. I'm going to click trust. Going to click allow. Okay. I'm going to click around the travel around the world. Okay. There it is. It's on my phone. Yes, look at this beautiful. I can turn it around. Let's try to clock some country, middle of Russia. Okay, so I just added one photo. This is obviously not China. This is from Norway, but whatever. Next, I'm going to do um China 2024. You can test this selector very clean. I like this. I like this a lot. This is the benefit of all Swift, you know. Testing. Save stamp. There we are. Okay. Journal. Yeah, here it is. It zooms you in. Okay. Some of the movements could be smoother. Man, this is not bad at all. And it's running on my phone as a standalone app. Imagine how hard that would be without Dor. Like it. I know this because when I was 15, way before LLMs, I spent 10 months building a mobile app. Took me 10 months from the idea until it was on Android. I didn't have an iPhone back then, but yeah, this is insane. This is absolutely incredible how much easier it is to build and deploy mobile apps. Yeah, if you have an idea, you're literally a couple hours away from having it, building it, testing it on your phone, and then deploying it on the on the app store, which there's a button in the top right. You can click on publish and, you know, click on new submission, fill out the details of the app, connect your Apple developer account, you know, that cost like 99 bucks a year and then submit the app for approval. It takes, I think, a couple of days for Apple to review it, make sure there's no malware or stuff like that, and you can get it on the app store. Obviously, ROR tries to make these steps as simple as possible. But if there's any bureaucracy, that's because of Apple and not ROR. RO has really revolutionized the the building of mobile apps. They made it 100 times simpler and easier than it was before. And that's why I partnered with them on this video. So again, if you want to try ROR, go below the video, click the first link or just go to roor.com spelled RK.com and make sure to use ROM max. Okay? Make sure to toggle this on. That way, all of your apps are built in Swift, so they're native to the Apple ecosystem.
