fun video here today as we are taking a look at Recraft, specifically ReCraft version 4 and the new ReCraft Studio. If you've been following the channel for a while, you'll know that I've been a pretty big fan of ReCraft. I mean, really since the start. And with these new updates, I mean, it's kind of becoming a bit of a powerhouse, but you don't necessarily have to take my word for it because one great thing about Recraft is that you can try it out for free. But before you do, let's dive in so I can show you everything that's new and everything you can do. So, in case you weren't aware, Recraft is an image generation platform that has always been held in high regard, especially by professional designers. Although, as we'll see today, I mean, there are plenty of different angles that you can approach the platform with. But I would say, you know, because there is such a inherent design philosophy behind Recraft, there's also some stuff that you can do on here that you can't do elsewhere. To add to that, one of the reasons I've always really loved Recraft is the fact that they've really put their focus on images, well, and text and design. Now, they have very recently, like a few days ago, added video models, and you know, it's all the ones that you would expect. All of them are here. That said, today we're going to be focusing on the image side. to that. Naturally, the flagship model here is Recraft V4, which we will be primarily looking at today. Obviously, all of the other like leading models are available here, and we are going to touch on that as well. Uh, and you know, at the end of the day, like I've done plenty of Nano Banana videos. Do we need another Nano Banana video? Finally, as a quick FYI, I did partner with Recraft for this video, but look, I mean, it's not a hard sell here. You can really just think of this as a platform walkthrough for a company that I really like and I pay for and gives you free credit. So, you know, I mean, it's win-win all around. So, the big news here is, of course, the new Recraft V4 model. If you've been on other platforms, you've likely seen it as an option. In fact, actually, I just checked and it is available over on Comfy UI as well, including um actually in the app mode as well, which we took a look at on the last video. um if if you're suddenly you're getting like comfy anxious, don't worry, we're not going to stick around here. Instead, we'll be taking a look at it on the Recraft Mothership because there's a bunch of other stuff that we can do there. So, you know, don't worry node haters, there are we can do nodes there, but they are optional. Moving back to the actual meat and potatoes, the top line with the V4 model is that they were aiming for stronger visual judgment across composition, lighting, color relationships, and material realism. The reason being is that most AI image generation pivots to kind of a middle ground in terms of aesthetics while V4 is tuned to be more expressive, cinematic, and design forward. Um, I mean, as we can see here. So, running a few quick tests of my own, and I'm not going to get into like a big like prompt shootout here or anything like that. Um, but this was kind of a Prometheus inspired prompt uh that was generated up in the Recraft V4 model. And then, uh, over in Nano Banana, we ended up with this. Both images I think look pretty good actually if we split screen them. So in terms of overall prompt adherence I say that both models did a pretty good job. I mean you can definitely see uh they are very similar. The uh there is discrepancy between the giant organic orbee thing in the background but I was also pretty vague with the details on that. Kind of got a little crafty in there. The biggest thing I think to take away here is actually in the rotating uh hovering rocks in both images. You can see in the Recraft side, it definitely kind of has more of like a swooping arc to it. Kind of once again going back to that designy thing. One more quick Recraft V4 versus Nano Banana 2 shootout. Uh on the left here we have the Recraft V4 output and on the right the Nano Banana output. Um again both same prompt. You can see the differences between the two of them. I do think that again title treatment and text over on Recraft look uh to me to for my personal taste um I think look a little more eye-catching and bold. Uh but that is not surprising. Recraft is you know pretty good at the text design. So yeah, Recraft V4 is a good model and it's actually more cost effective than Nano Banana 2. I mean that said it's not like Recraft is like anti-banana. Everybody needs their potassium. In fact, there's a very good use case for Nano Banana 2 as we'll see because we've got to head over to Recraft Studio, which to be honest, I mean, at first it actually looks a lot like the old Recraft interface, but there's actually a lot hidden here. The actually the old interface is still available to you up here. So, you can just toggle this switch on and off, but you know, as we can see, it looks pretty similar. So, the first thing to notice is that the prompt bar and all of our options are down here. Now, uh we have three options in terms of generating. We can do so agentically, manually, which it is set to by default, and uh in exploration mode. We'll we'll go through each one of these in just a bit. We also have our model picker here. Uh it actually defaults on auto mode. Obviously, our choices here are regraft V4, V4 Vector, and then pro versions of V4 and V4 Vector. I'll go over those in just one minute. Uh and then of course down here we have access to all of the other leading models. Uh, Nano Banana 2, Cream 5, uh, Zagemage Turbo, and, uh, the old Recraft models are down here as well. And then Nano Banana Pro is down here somewhere as well. Flux 2 Max, uh, the GPT stuff. There is a button for style library down here. I have covered that pretty extensively in a previous uh, Recraft video. That said, styles have not been hooked up to V4 just quite yet. Uh, I will definitely let you know when they do. That is a very powerful feature. Uh, and then our aspect ratios, you know, all the standards 1 one 2 one. Uh, and then our count, like how many images you want to generate, uh, between 1 and four. And then finally, a pallet picker, which we're also going to take a look at in a minute cuz I do think that is pretty cool. In terms of outputs, the Recraft V4 raster model. So that's, you know, your standard like image generation. Uh, that comes in uh on the standard side at 1K and then the Pro version at 2K. uh the vector model which is more for your SVG outputs and kind of like illustrating designy stuff. I'll muddle my way through the SVG stuff in a little bit. But one thing I did want to point out is that um so like the recraft V4 model that's like your standard image model uh that runs like two credits and then the pro version is 10 credits whereas like a straight nano banana 2 run is 11 credits. What I was talking about earlier at Recraft V4 being more cost effective. So just running through some quick ideas here to showcase why I again I think that recraft is a really stellar platform. This is a illustrated styled image that's done you know just as a raster image. So again this is just you know a straight image kind of an ode to uh Tokyo woman walking uh the old Sora demo as you know they have now sunseted Sora 1. So uh again our ode to her as she walks off into the distance. So, running this exact same prompt under V4 Pro Vector. And now we have two vector versions of them. If you don't know what a vector or an SVG is, um, don't stress it. I'm going to show you really quickly. Very poorly, in fact. So, I'm going to take this one and export it as an SVG. Basically, what it means is that we can open this up in Illustrator or something like Illustrator. Now, I am uh terrible at Illustrator. Uh, as we can see, I I I really have no idea what I'm doing here. Um, like you can put me into uh Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and and you know, I I can be able to kind of like make my way through anything. Uh, like yeah, um, Illustrator I am a complete imbecile with, but uh, I think that you can see here as I make this giant mess. Uh, yeah, everything here is fully editable and whatnot. Um, so yeah, I mean, illustrator people, design people, you definitely know how powerful this is. One of these days I'll get good at Illustrator. Maybe I'll have Claude teach me. Actually, speaking of which, there is something really kind of crazy and cool coming up in a little bit. The other cool thing you can do is take any one of your, you know, rastered images, basically your image images, not, you know, vectors. Uh, and if you right click on it, you can actually, uh, vectorize it. So, um, now this will turn it into a vector that you can bring into Illustrator or whatever you use to edit vectors with. So yeah, same image now over in Illustrator where I can continue to make a mess out of this one. Uh again, one of these days, what did I do there? I don't even know what I did there. Now, one thing I'll say in terms of vectorizing images is that, you know, they tend not to work very well with uh cinematic or realistic images. Although, you can end up with some cool results. Like I took um you know, essentially our model card for flamethrower girl and vectorized her and kind of ended up with this image, which actually I think is kind of cool. like it it sort of works as like you know a flamethrower girl animated episode. So um might be something worth playing around with. Although it can get pretty wonky. Like if we really zoom in here we can see that like you know the tattoo details are all just kind of like a big blobby mess. Uh and then we're missing a lot of like finer details. So this is something that would have to be cleaned up a little bit but still I mean it's a it's kind of a cool design. You have now been marked safe from the vector content. Uh we also have workflows up here. So this is again the node kind of thing. Uh this is pretty fascinating and actually the really neat discovery uh that we're going to see in just a minute. Uh so obviously you know right click you can put in an image a prompt uh a frame mockup etc etc. The way that I found that this works is that um you'll first want to put a prompt in. So in this case we're going to put a handsome male model walking down a fashion runway wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. Uh create a generate node here. Connect these two together. Obviously, the prompt is going in and then we're going out. In the generate tab, you you have your selection of your model selector and all of that stuff. Um, so we're just going to hit run. And we end up with this guy, which uh sure um sure, we'll take him. Um, simultaneously, I ended up doing another generation for a logo for uh the channel. You can see where this is going. And then all I have to do here is add in a remove background node. Uh, we're going to connect these two together and then run this. Now, here is where things get interesting. So, if we create another node, uh, this is a convert to mockup. And then we bring our guy in here. Let me connect these two nodes together. We can then run this. And from here, we can take my pre-made logo and drag it in over uh, our guy here. And you can see like, you see how it kind of deforms around like the textures on the shirt. This is pretty cool. I mean, if you really zoom in, it does a really good job on these folds here. Um, it's something that I was thinking about taking an image like this and our planet hell logo and running through that same thing. We end up with like this, you know, this deformable kind of like title text stream. And it's a little on the finicky side. I'll totally admit that. Um, but I mean, you you can get some really interesting results out of it. Um, I mean, this is something that I would recommend playing with, but uh, again, I think that this is something that like I mean, how do you even prompt for this? You can't prompt for this. And that is what's kind of cool about it. Again, is this good? No. I mean, it's really not, but um that's kind of not the point. The point is is that you can do this. So, this is something that I'm definitely going to be experimenting more with because like like I said earlier, I mean, there's no way that you could prompt for this. This is really kind of neat. If you want to explore other workflows and get ideas from them, uh there's a handful there's like four templates uh so far under workflows here. Uh I presume that this will populate more and more as the new ReCraft Studio uh moves along. Uh the other kind of cool thing that we have in here, well, we have uh editing templates in here as well. So if you want to do things like changing angles or creative swaps, u all of that stuff is in here. I actually did 3D me over here. I mean, this one is just kind of silly and fun. I just took uh you know, one of my uh thumbnail template images uh and then select let's do 3D cartoon here. Run this template. So, one click, no prompt, and we end up with kind of like the 3D animation version of me. My nose isn't that big. I don't think my nose is that big. Rounding out with prompting, which I know is a weird place to round out, but trust me, it'll make sense in a minute. Uh, here we have uh mock-ups for uh Lunar Fang, which is as stupid as it sounds, but if you figure like werewolves in space, where the moon is always full, you can see here that we've got a pretty good amount of prompt context in here. Um and you know it it pretty much does nail everything. So that is in manual mode. Now I talked about this earlier. Uh we have two other modes uh agentic and exploration. If we use exploration and just prompt the same thing. You can see here that we end up with well an exploration. So we end up with eight different takes on that lunar fang prompt. Uh actually I really do like this one a lot. So um so yeah just a good way of you know exploring an idea if you need to you know iterate a little bit more. Now where things get pretty interesting is when you switch it over to a gentic mode because again you know as it is an AI agent we can just chat with it conversationally. We don't have to use you know our giant prompt. So, uh, firing this off. So, the agent ends up coming up with these ideas. Uh, and then we can continue to chat with it and iterate on it or it'll prompt you with ideas as well, like changing the aspect ratio or trying it a different style. Um, so yeah, that's pretty cool. But here's where things get pretty nuts is that you can use Recraft with Open Claw. And that is pretty crazy. I think that's this marks the first time I've actually seen this in on any platform in all honesty. If you don't know what OpenClaw is, it is basically an AI agent that you know lives on your computer, has access to all of your files, can go out and do things on your behalf. Now, there I do have to say you there are a lot of security issues with this, so I don't highly recommend it for most people. That said, most of those security issues at some point or another will be solved and there are definitely plenty of daredevils out there that are running OpenClaw as is. So, uh, well, you can do so now with Recraft. Now, if you're like me and you have not embraced the Church of the Claw, mainly for fear of all of your personal information basically spreading all over the internet due to a rogue agent, I do have good news. Uh, there is also an MCP available or a model context protocol. Um, this will actually allow you to essentially run Recraft in well in Clawed. Now, I will say that this may take some doing and definitely is a Claude co-work project. Um that said, you know, as I have mentioned a few times on the channel recently, I've been cla pretty hard. Um, you know, uh, code and co-work are not as scary as you might think. And whenever you have a question, just ask Claude and, you know, Claude will give you the answer. So that is really interesting either using MCPs or again for those daring enough, Open Claw. It definitely opens up doors to entirely new like workflows and ideas on how to generate AI imagery. And look, there's still a ton of other stuff to explore on ReCraft. I actually can't cover every angle in one video. So, I do encourage you to give it a shot. The link is down below. Plus, as mentioned, there is a free tier. So, if you want to just go over and kind of kick the tires a bit, you totally can. All four V4 models are available on every plan, including the free tier. So, uh, like I always say, it's worth signing up just to try out and have in your back pocket. If something is not quite hitting right in Nano Banana or Flux or whatever you're generating in, you have ReCraft waiting in the wings and it just might be the thing that you're looking for. I'll keep an eye on ReCraft and we'll circle back as the inevitable updates to V4 and uh, Recraft Studio appear. I'll let you know as they do. In the meantime, I thank you for watching. My name is Tim.
